5.11 Tactical's XPRT 2.0 Boots combine the best features of high-performance European hiking boots with elite tactical boots. The padded neoprene ankle, durable ripstop nylon frame, and BI-FIT insole provide lightweight, sturdy comfort, and an eVent membrane makes the boots waterproof, yet breathable,. Nubuck, suede, and full-grain leather overlays present a professional profile, while a 5.11&174; Kick Toe delivers enhanced capability. Ghillie lacing for quick on/off. Whether you're climbing boulders, kicking in a door, or just doing everyday tactical, you'll stay comfortable and agile, day after day.

Like a European hiking boot, XPRT 2.0 Boots run narrower than other 5.11&174; boots. If you are a "D" or wider, we suggest ordering a Wide. The durable construction of these boots means you'll also want a few days of break-in before you deploy on your next operation.

  • Find your 5.11 size. It’s worth it
By Waldo reviews on 19 September 2019

I love this color. Pretty much the only mid calf hiking/tactical boot out there in this color. The only issue is the sizing. If you have read the reviews its obvious that you need to order 1-2 sizes up. Not sure why 5.11 designs their shoes this way. Maybe they are made in China. I wear a size 10 - 10 1/2 depending on the maker. This shoe I took the advice of the reviewers and ordered a 11. It was just a bit too tight. So since you lose nothing but a couple days, I utilized the FREE returns! Yeah Amazon is awesome providing this service. Anyway after getting the 11 1/2 it felt slightly better I guess. Almost felt the same to be honest. Since they didn’t offer a size 12, I decided to give this shoe a chance and see if it would eventually conform to my feet. Maybe this just needed some break in time? After about 1 day of use the shoe started to fit better. So yes, order a full size up in my opinion. 5.11 shoes do not fit true to size and that’s proven by all the reviews. Anyway here are my pros/cons

    PROs
    1) This shoe looks great. It’s truly one of a kind
    2) The shoe cinches up tight with a lot of padding in all the right places
    3) The shoe laces are perfect length to get a grip to tighten but not leave so much over hang that just looks sloppy
    4) The traction on the sole is no joke. You will notice how it grips the ground.
    5) It doesn’t have a huge 5.11 logo on it. Some of their shoes are laughable with the 5.11 logo

    CONs
    1) Sizing is too small
    2) Great looking shoe but it shows all scratches and buff marks
    3) The tongue is super thick. I know some people like that though.

  • Impractical and uncomfortable
By Paul Hubbsy on 20 September 2019

These were some of the weirdest boots I've ever tried on. They're not tactical, they're not hunting or hiking.. they're some sort of useless hybrid. The 6" heel is stiff as heck and has no dip for your ankle to bend. The composite toe sits way too low and my toes hurt from the pressure of the plastic pressing on them before I even walked around. The closures have no zip, odd for a "tactical" boot, and the all around style is like some old school extra high top sneaker.
What the hell were they thinking with this one.
I know a lot of people were concerned with the width of the boot being too slim, that was one of the only things that I wasnt affected by. These fit snug, stiff, and definitely would need a good breaking in before wearing them purposefully

  • Solid boot -Fits perfect.
By Andrew on 13 October 2019

Wow, this is a serious boot and not for the faint of heart..use it for work. I would put this in the same category as my Danners. I normally wear a size 10 for all my shoes, running, etc. These boot are comfortable and regular width. I was worried some say it is a narrow Euro width - it is normal width and not particularly narrow at all.

It’s not as stiff as some say and it articulates plenty. It is extremely well constructed and the tongue says it’s waterproof. They feel very comfortable and well padded. I got the grey version and it is really nice. They are not a light boot or the heaviest. I’ll update this review as the months progress.

  • horrible and painful to wear.
By Ridesmorethanyoudo on 16 October 2019

these are the most uncomfortable boots I've ever worn! I work outside and today I was cutting down trees all day. these boots chewed into my ankles so bad I thought about going barefoot the rest of the day. after I finished up I went to the shoe store and bought new boots.. these are horrible. I'm only giving 2 stars because they fit true to size. jeez these are like torture devices.

  • Crazy tough boots
By Nahthatsokay on 30 October 2019

I've had a pair of these for 3 years and have worn the sole almost bare. I absolutely love these boots so I just ordered another pair. They are extremely robust and durable. The steel toe has protected my feet from axe blades and car tires. They are a bit on the heavy side but you get used to it and if protection is what you need, you wont mind a few extra ounces.
