  • Runs exactly 2" shorter than size chart indicates. Thin, stretchy material that dose not hold shape
By Seth on 12 April 2019

I'm 6'1', 195lb with a measured 33" waist and somewhat muscular with a well rounded figure skater but ;o). I wear 32" Jeans because of vanity sizing. (I like a more tailored fit). 32x34L Diesel larkees fit me just right. I bought these because from the pictures, I thought that they would be similar, so this is somewhat of a comparison review. These are the same price as Larkees when at full price, the only reason I bought these instead is because they were on sale (25% off). These fit about the same as the Diesel Larkees in the waist and seat area (which I fill in quite nicely). They are smaller in the leg area, not quite skinny jeans tight, just a tad tighter than expected for a "relaxed leg". They are significantly shorter as well (2" shorter than selected size, see note at bottom of review). They are still comfortable though due to good stretch and a soft thin material. They have a cheap feeling zipper fly as opposed to the heavy duty button up fly in the Larkees, which isn't a huge deal, but I prefer the button fly. The Diesel Larkees have thicker, but still stretchy and comfortable fabrick that "crumples" with extra length in the boot area, behind the knees and the upper thigh area that gives them a certain rugged look that I like. These jeans are too thin to hold those kind of natural creases, so they drape more like khakis, which is a different, less rugged look if that's what you are after. In the pictures, it looks like these jeans have the horizontal creases in the upper thigh, but this is just a die pattern meant to create the illusion of creases, which is a bit tacky for a $180 pair of jeans, but I guess it still looks good from a distance. Over all, for the sale price, I think they are an ok buy, but I definitely wouldn't buy then over the Diesels at full price.

Fit and Sizing: (for "32x34" size selection)
Inseam measures 32" (2" shorter than advertised)
Wast measures 32" un-stretched, but stretches comfortably to 34"
    PN: T0046380S LADK

Note: All measurements taken flat on floor
I measured the inseam flat and the 32"X34" jeans that I ordered measure exactly 32" long in the inseam from the highest part of the crotch to the bottom of the hem. There is no indication of length anywhere on the packaging, so I'm not sure if this is the fault of the manufacturer or the creator of the listing, perhaps both. but the sizing chart needs to be fixed.

    Update:
I received the "32x36" that I ordered, the inseam measures 35". So it appears that the inseam sizing is fairly inconstant compared to the size chart across the board. Since I was shooting for 34", I guess this will do. Too long is better than too short if you can sew. The second pair I received was used and without tags (shipped and sold by Amazon as new). The pockets are showing signs of wear at the top edges that the first pair I ordered did not have and there is a cologne smell. Since this is a product review and not a seller review, i'll refrain from taking off stars.

    Update #2:
The elastic material in these jeans has no resilience whatsoever. When I first put them on, they were just right and had a nice tailored fit which was quite flattering in the seat area. After only a half day of wear, they loosened up a full size. They became baggy in the seat area and started to look more like a typical poorly fitting $50 pair of jeans. I have other pairs of jeans with the same amount of spandex in the blend and they don't do this nearly as much as these. They are still comfortable and maybe slightly better than a pair of Levis, but not worth price. If it weren't for the fact that they are now non-returnable, I would try a size down.

  • Inseam length selected changes product number slightly.
By Doug on 21 February 2018

Just in case you have purchased these before, here is some clarification on the sizes for this product. Amazon description says, T0046380S, however, this number changes slightly depending on inseam selected.. The tag number in the description matches the tags on jeans that I previously purchased at my local Nordstroms. However, I have never seen these jeans sold with a tag indicating the inseam length (only waist size), so I ordered the 34Wx36L assuming these were the same pants that I had purchased before. The pants that I received had a tag reading T0046380X. I did some research on the manufacturers website, and found out that they sell the X series as the exact same product with a slight title change "(long inseam)". The X series pants I received were just slightly longer than the S series that I currently own. I have re-ordered these in 34Wx34L, and I am pretty sure that these will be the correct tag number based on what I read on the manufacture website. I will update this review if these turn out to be a different tag number, but I think I finally have this sorted out. Won't be commenting on the 34Wx32L size listed, unless my replacement order turns out to be wrong as well.

  • Soft as a cloud and looks good too.
By Go Blue 99 on 28 June 2019

I’m a big fan of 7FAM jeans, and these Austyn Comrade jeans are another winner. My favorite thing about them is that they are butter soft and feel like you are wearing comfortable pajamas. The fit is true to size, but keep in mind the Austyn is a relaxed fit. This is fine with me as I don’t care for the skinny jeans look.

This specific Comrade color is a medium blue. It’s best for casual environments, but you could dress it up with a nice shirt. One item to note is that these are made in Mexico, and not in the USA like some other 7FAM jeans are. But I see no drop in quality vs my other pairs that were made in USA.

  • Even after multiple washes, blue rubs off on everything
By Steve on 26 March 2019

Bought same jeans a few years ago, loved them. But the latest 3 pairs of these I've purchase all had the same problem - blue ink rubs off - on my shoes, my car seat, everywhere. This is despite washing them 4x times. After 4x washes didn't work, I also tried the vinegar / cold water overnight technique to no avail. The blue dye apparently just wasn't applied properly during the manufacturing process. I cannot recommend these jeans any longer.

  • Fit kind of as expected
By WMcD on 02 April 2013

Let me start out by saying I love 7 jeans and the look of these was no exception. They are usually the best fitting jeans I can find and these would probably be the same for more "shapely" people. The waste and length were great and I could see how people would love the fabric if it works for them. The problem I had was with the stretchiness built into them. While it does make them feel nice and comfortable it you are "full in the rear" it has a rather unflattering effect if you don't really fill them out fully. Most 7 jeans are more flattering while these provided a "saggy" look after wearing them for only a short while. I ended up returning them but will be buying a pair that is 100% denim without the spandex in them.
