    According to the size chart, I was supposed to fit in a size 6. That was too large, so I tried a 6 petite. Again, too large. So I tried a 4. Too large. Eventrually I found that a 2 was my size. I am 5'4.5" and weigh 125 lbs. The 2 fit perfectly. Also, the beading on the 1st three dresses that I purchased was not silver, it was a royal blue, which gave the whole dress a blue/grey effect. The size 2 that I eventually ended up with had silver beading (which is what I wanted anyways) and was much more sparkly than the other 3 dresses. Not sure what makes the difference since I ordered the same dress 4 times with sizes being the only variation. One last thing to consider. I wore this as a bridesmaid for a wedding and found the after that the beading is coming off in multiple places. The dress does come with a small bag of extra beading, but that just shows that they expect the beading to fall off because of the fragile state of the dress. Even after all this, I'm still giving it a 5 star rating because the dress is simply gorgeous! I was so sparkly and classy. It was very flattering. Worth the hassle. (I am in the middle of this pic; the ribbon was added)

    This is a great dress, and looks better than the pictures! It is very sparkly. I ordered the 2 petite and it fits me well. It is a little longer than I typically find for a petite size, but not a problem with low heels. For reference I'm 5'2", 104lbs and a 34B. It fits me almost snug but not too snug, and looks really good and is very comfortable. One note, the arm straps are not adjustable, but they are OK as is for me. I will be wearing it to a New Year's Eve party on the Queen Mary, and wanted something that resembled attire from the 1920s.

  • Beautiful, but beads fell off

    This is such a gorgeous dress. It is really comfortable and so flattering. It does have some weight to it with all of the beading, but is by no means uncomfortable. Unfortunately, like the other reviews, I had entire strands/ strings/ lines of the beading fall off. I wore this dress for about 13 hours for a wedding and by the end of the night where I did minimal dancing, there were chunks of beading missing and thread left behind. I think the dress is worth the price for a memorable event, but certainly do not plan to wear it more than once.

    The dress is stunning in person. I ordered the 6 Regular. I weigh 127 pounds FYI and it fit my body perfectly. I am 5'3 and a half and the petite was not available so I had to order the regular and have it shortened. This was an extra $150 as all the beading is hand stitched but it was worth it! The dress got rave reviews for being "classic" and "timeless" by guests at my event. Unlike others, I found the quality to be excellent (and extra beads were shipped with the dress). The dress is not heavy compared to other beaded gowns and it "swishes" as you walk. So pretty!

    Gorgeous dress!!! I was so pleased with this dress when it came. I had admired it for years when Nordstrom first started carrying it, but I didn't have a good reason to buy it. My husband & I were invited to a fancy Christmas masquerade party & this dress was perfect! I wasn't sure if I would be a 2 or a 4--I'm 5'8" and wear both sizes in dresses. I went with the 2 as other reviewers said it runs big & it fit really well. I am a 32D so it was a tad tight in the chest, but it worked with a strapless bra. The straps are not adjustable and really "held" everything in nicely on top. The charcoal color is really cool too & doesn't look quite as dark as it does in the photos.
