  • Not Authentic
By Sto on 26 November 2018

These are not authentic - they are knock offs. Arrived without a box, obviously worn before. They didn’t have the signature inside as pictured, and were generally of poor quality. There were several spots that looked like white glue leaking onto the black shoe. I ordered another pair directly from the manufacturer and the difference was unbelievable. I love Amazon and usually get exactly what I order - but there is definitely a problem with these particular shoes. Do not waste your time or money ordering them from here.

  • Very supportive, good investment if you plan on tapping.
By domlex on 16 August 2019

I'm just a regular tap dancer, I don't do really fancy stuff due to spine issues, but I can actually do more in these. I had regular tap shoes before, the $60 ones with the full sole. I decided to get these after my son accidentally threw out my old ones (they were in a grocery bag after recital, boys, *sigh*). My dance teacher and more pro dancers at my studio wear these and he said, "you'll never have to buy another pair". So I decided, go for it, treat yourself, up your game. I'm super happy I did. I love that the front, where the laces are, goes up higher then a regular shoe. And it has more padding. These ones are heavier then normal shoes so it took a class or two of adjustment, but my taps are more crisp and louder. They seem to be more stable for toe stands (tho the larger toe box took a bit of adjustment too). Obviously I don't know how long they last but I'm really glad I spent a bit more. Of note, I got really confused by the size chart and tried two smaller sizes. It ended up being the same size as my regular full sole Bloch's. One size larger then running shoe size. Also, they did have to be broken in.

  • Great Tap Shoe!
    By J Sherman on 07 July 2016

I ordered my exact shoe size for my right foot. My left foot is larger than my right foot; the right shoe fits perfectly and the left shoe is a bit tight. In a perfect world I would be able to try them on before taking them home. I haven't had the opportunity to wear them for more than 60 minutes and my left foot suffers, a bit. However, I prefer my shoes to fit like a glove--there's nothing worse than wearing a sloppy dance shoe that doesn't act as though it's part of your own foot! I've worn Bloch jazz shoes and various types of tap shoes; my most recent tap shoes were a very flexible pair of Giordanos. I've never worn a tap shoe that's this "solid." This oxford is a bit stiff and heavy which I need to get accustomed to; in general, I really like this shoe! The shoes came with their own taps and I am very pleased with the sound.

  • The leather is super soft and the shoes themselves are incredibly sturdy
By Amazon Customer on 18 September 2017

As a dance teacher, I appreciate that there is zero break-in time needed for these shoes. The leather is super soft and the shoes themselves are incredibly sturdy. I really like that the nonslip sole patches come separately. You do, however need to size up. I wear a size 8 (US womens) street shoe, sometimes 8.5 if I want more room in the toe. I like my tap shoes to fit like a glove. I ordered a 9 in these and they fit perfectly, with socks. I am very happy with these shoes. They are a good intermediate step between a student shoe and a pro shoe.

  • OBSESSED
By Mrs. Briggs on 05 October 2017

I love this product so so much. I am a dance teacher and I needed a solid shoe that wouldn't fall apart. I am the biggest Bloch fan for tap shoes. I teach at least 11 tap classes a week and had the same pair for 10 years. They have officially worn out. This was an upgrade and splurge without breaking my bank for custom shoes. I am so so so so so happy I bought them. They are so comfortable. The quality is great. I am requiring some of my tappers to get these shoes because they are that good. The only downside is that they run a little small. I am a size 7- 7.5 normally and had to buy a size 8. If you are a dance teacher or dancer looking for a solid shoe look no further!
