  • wish they had beefier tread...
By Vana on 26 September 2016

These boots are comfortable and all 4 of my children wear them. They stay together and keep their feet warm and dry. If you are a weekend outdoors family or just want these for your kids to wear to play in the snow or walk to the bus stop they are perfect! However... My children live on a farm in Pennsylvania. We are outside everyday. Hunting fishing farming and just running and playing in the woods. I buy them at least 2 pairs every year. The tread becomes totally worn smooth on the heels and the camo wears off within a few months. What good are boots with barely any tread?! The boot itself is still good but I can't have my kids slipping on rocks and leaves. Wish they had beefier tread. I included pictures of my 5 year old sons boots after not even 2 months of wear.

  • An Annual Purchase
By Casey on 03 November 2017

This is the second year in a row I've purchased these boots for my son. He goes to nature preschool which means he's outside during really cold Iowa winters. I trust these to keep him warm. If you are trying to decide between these and the ones with handles, I'd choose these. We've also had the ones with handles and they are considerably shorter. Also, if socks slide down at all, the big holes let too much cold in. If you live in a really cold climate where wool socks are necessary, buy a size up.

  • Quality and construction horrible
By Dana on 07 May 2019

I have been buying Bogs for years and didn’t have much of a problem until this last pair. I bought them 2 years ago and only wear them when it rains to walk my dog, so not much use-about 2 hours total per day. This pair tore in the back between the rubber and boot on BOTH boots. They tore months ago, so I only really got about half a year (rainy season) out of them. Just discovered them after my move last October. Unfortunately they will be going to the landfill. My previous pair lasted about 4 years. Maybe they have changed manufacturing sites...idk. I do know that I will NOT be buying Bogs again.

  • No handles are best for kids who always push the envelope
By John Carleton on 29 November 2016

Love 'em! We live in Portland, Oregon and our kids live in these for most of the winter. Feet stay dry and toasty! Also, we've found no handles to be waaaaay better than with handles. Gives the kids more room to splash/wade w/o water coming over the top.

  • Camo print wears right off.
    By NaomiPlus5 on 15 January 2017

I like the dual usage of this boot for my son. Muck for wet slush or Mudd but totally warm enough to be a snow boot. My son's last pair lasted 2 seasons. This pair disappointed me because the camo print wore right off the top of the foot and around the edge. I wish I'd just gotten black.
