  • Good looking and a good value

    Comfortable and stylish shoe. No break in required, comfortable out of the box. The toe box is lined with fabric, not leather. But a well constructed shoe for the price point. The sole is leather with a rubber covering over the forefoot, and half rubber heel. Overall a good value. As a matter of fact, awesome value for the 9t dolrs I spent. Most men's shoes at this price point have rubber soles that are glued, not sewn. And when the heels wear out, you throw the whole shoe away. You can have these reheeled or resoled until the uppers wear out or the lining falls apart. And the cost will be a fraction of the cost of a new pair.

    The leather uppers are very good quality for this price point. Not crinkley, or thin, or stiff. I've worn them a dozen times, put wooden shoe trees in them when I was done, and they look brand new.

    This is a classic style that won't go out of fashion, so you'll be able to keep them for a long time if you want to resole them a few times. Really rare for a shoe at this price point.

    Shoes fit well, break-in well in 2-3 days wearing them. Buckle has a roller for easy use and prevents rubbing of the strap. Only concern is the sole is slippery, much more so than my other Cole Haans. Product designers for CH should standardize on a really good high traction sole for safety & durability.

  • I own 3 different pairs of the same shoe in ...

    I own 3 different pairs of the same shoe in different colors and this pair does not feel the same as the other 2.
    the leather is too hard, the show runs too long and very narrow for this size.
    The leather around the ankle area is too hard and it kills my ankle bone. I've tried different leather softeners and
    heel raiser and nothing works. This show is costing me way more money than its worth.
    Wish i could return the shoe.

  • Great but too small

    I wear 9.5 in almost every other shoe, but with 9.5 in these, I couldn't even get my foot in the shoe without undoing the buckle. Even then, they were quite tight on the top and sides of my feet, too much for any break in.

    Very nice shoe, so I returned it for a 10. Fingers crossed😀

  • A great shoe and fits perfectly

    I had never worn a monk-strap shoe, so this was going to be a new fit for me. I bought the size that I normally do and it fit perfectly. Well-constructed and comfortable from day one. Nice look. I highly recommend this shoe and this vendor.
