  • Perfect for my needs & installed easily in less than 10 mins!
By Lizz on 20 June 2016

I purchased this along with a spray solution made for installing window film. It was like $4. I also had a squeegee and a box cutter on hand. I cleaned the Windows really carefully and used scissors to cut the film to the desired size. There are grid lines on the paper backing so it was simpIe enough. I didn't measure - I just eyeballed it because I knew I'd trim to the exact size once it was on the glass. I had two pieces of glass to cover so I basically did everything twice. For the first one, I sprayed a lot of the solution on the window, peeled the paper backing off of the film, placed the film on the glass, squeegeed it a little, trimmed excess film from sides and then squeegeed some more. It was great! I couldnt believe how easy it was! I had a bit more trouble with the second piece of glass because some cat hair got incorporated into the process and got stuck between the film and the glass - but to my relief, I was able to peel the film off, wipe away the cat hair, spray more solution and reapply the film. That actually happened twice before I got it all. So even with all of that cat hair drama - nothing was ruined. The end result was just as perfect as the first piece of glass. I've included a photo.

I purchased this for my toddler's bedroom. We live in an apartment and like so many apartments; the lighting is not great. Her room does not have any overhead lights but she's got a lamp and gets plenty of light from her window during the day as long as the blinds are drawn up a bit. My major concern was that we're on the first floor and her window faces the parking lot with a high-traffic side-walk that runs right in front of her window. It's a great neighborhood, lots of dogs and other babies. People are constantly out & about. It just always kinda creeped me out when I'd pull up in the parking lot and notice that I could see right inside her room. She has a little play kitchen located just in front of the window so a lot of times she's standing right there. I just wanted to give her a little privacy without eliminating the bright sunlight. This film is wonderful. I'm very pleased and would absolutely buy again if I had a need for more in the future.

  • Be sure to really clean the window and use an application solution.
    By Joshua B on 02 July 2015

Edit: I'm changing my review to 4 stars after ordering another roll and doing it again. Steps to install this:
    1. Really clean the window. Use razor blades to scrape off anything that doesn't come off.
    2. Cut a section out close to the size you need.
    3. Spray the window with an application solution.
    4. Peel the backing off of the cling.
    5. Apply the cling to the window. There will be solution "bubbles" and the edges won't be lined up, but you are going to trim the edges off.
    6. Use a squeegee or similar item to press the cling against the window, getting out the bubbles. You might want a paper towel handy to get the excess solution that comes out during this.
    7. Use a box cutter or exacto type blade to trim the edges at the frame.

My review was originally 2 stars and read: "Had a lot of trouble keeping some panels on window. Installed using a specialized kit. One panel regularly falls and must be readjusted."

After reinstalling everything I haven't had panels fall off of the windows again.

  • Might take a couple of tries to make it stick, but it works.
By JayLagz on 11 April 2016

Install was pretty easy but sometimes the edges would peel off and I'd have to wet the edges again and reapply. I'm glad you can apply and reapply or else I would have wasted a lot of it. Film's been in place now for two weeks.

I agree with other folks about install. Clean the glass well and moisten, apply rough cut of the film, use a razor blade to trim, and squeegee out the rest.

Works great on my shower window and adds much needed privacy. See attached picture.

  • Easy to apply
    By Jaclyn M. on 01 February 2016

This product was exactly as expected. Very simple to use (simply wet the surface and smooth out) and it looks great on my front door window! I didn't even have to purchase a squeegee, I just used a credit card to smooth out the bubbles.

  • easy to install, looks great.
By Thurlow on 31 July 2017

This product looks great and is so easy to install. Just cut and apply to a wet clean window and you are done. The instructions say use a squeegee to smooth the wrinkles, but I used my hand and then a ruler and it worked great. Also the instructions say cut the film to fit the exact size of the window, but I cut the film longer on the sides and then used a razor to remove the excess from the window. The film cuts clean and easy, so removing the excess from the window was very easy. A single edge razor and a ruler are all that is required.
