  • I really liked the idea of having a strainer that fits over ...
    By c7epy83y5j on 30 July 2018

I really liked the idea of having a strainer that fits over a pop-up drain in a bathroom sink. But unfortunately, these strainers do not work. Everyone who has tried to make a suction cup stick in a bathroom where it is wet and humid knows that water and humidity are the enemies of a suction cup. That's why this strainer was doomed to fail. Even if it did stick and hold in place, hair and other stuff just flows into the drain under the strainer. And if that was not a problem: the slots are too wide. If the strainer holds a hair, sooner than later it will disappear into the sink. Total waste of money.

  • Works!
By QT on 10 February 2018

I have one of those drains that has a cover which makes it difficult to manage the drain since you can't remove it. I have seen other products on TV that you slide into the drain to catch hair, however it doesn't work for my style of drain. So, in my search I came upon this drain hair catcher and it worked. One of my showers the drain cover is starting to slip so while taking a shower the drain will close and you have to pop it back open. It's a pain to deal with and I am sure not cheap to fix either. Anyways, wasn't sure how this drain catcher was going to work out, but I placed it on top of my drain and it snap right on to my drain cover within seconds. It not only keeps the hair out of my drain, drains the water like normal, but it also keeps the drain cover from slipping and closing. Problem solved. I liked it so much I actually bought a second one for my other shower and it's working flawlessly as the other one. No drainage issues, etc… everything is normal as if it wasn't there except you see hair around it after you're done taking a shower. I just take my finger pull on a piece of the hair wrapped around it and it all just easily lifts off. The drain catcher never moves and stays in place. I have had no issues with this so far. I have no idea how long it will last but it has already been a while. Don't see it breaking any time soon and it appears to be durable.

By Desiderare on 16 January 2018

My search for a bathtub hair catcher has ended! For the past couple years, I've put up with an OXO hair catcher (I'm looking at you Good Grips!) that has spent more time sliding around the tub than actually catching any hair. Disappointing, since it wasn't cheap. And I have one of those pop-up type drains, which is hard to fit.....till now, that is! I came across this little guy and while I would normally balk at spending $10 on such an item, it works so perfectly that I have to give kudos to the Danco design kings for a hit with this one! Get one!!

  • The BEST Sink Hair catchers! NO DRAIN REMOVAL. Just place on top of your exiting drain.
    By brooksgina1 on 27 December 2017

Love these "over the drain" hair catchers! I received my hair catchers in the mail and immediately placed these on top of my pop-up drain. These sink hair catchers are so easy to install as it required NO DRAIN REMOVAL. Just place the hair catchers on top of your pop-up drain and gently press down on the solid circle in the middle of the hair catcher. The hair catcher has a suction cup that sticks to the pop-up drain and you can can open and close the drain with the hair catcher in place. I LOVE THESE!! I highly recommend these especially with no drain removal like so many other hair catchers require.

  • Too Shallow for our popup drain
By Eco Cat Lady on 27 December 2018

I've been trying to find something that would work as a hair catcher in our antique cast iron sink. The kind that dip down won't work because there's a metal bar across the opening that won't let them go down there - so I was hopeful about these, but unfortunately they're too shallow for our popup stopper so the edges don't go down far enough to touch the sink. Also, these are not hard plastic, they're made from very soft, pliable rubber, sorta like one of those silicone grabbers that you use to open cans. Guess I'll keep looking...
