  • These boots are great. They look better to me in person
    By Tanner G. on 25 March 2018

These boots are great. They look better to me in person, which was a surprise. I obviously don’t expect them to last as long as a $300 pair of leather USA made Danner boots, but for the price I paid (130$) they seem great. They are very lightweight. They seem water resistant but I wouldn’t submerge them. The two Vibram compounds in the sole create a very stable and comfortable platform. The materials around the ankle are a bit rough and feel very uncomfortable when the boot is tight, even with wool socks as a barrier, so I wear them a little loose and it seems to solve the problem. There’s a seam on the inner side of each boot that looks like it will be the first place to eventually come apart. One cool and unexpected thing I’ve noticed about the boots is how quiet they are. When you walk on pavement you hardly hear them at all. Great for sneaking up on enemies.

  • Thought the quality would be a little better..
By phil on 08 August 2018

I’ve had these boots for about a month. They fit perfectly, grip well over loose terrain, super comfy, even over the course of a 9 day backpacking trip. They’re also super light, and good looking till you actually hike/ break em in.

However I’ve probably not even put 100 miles on them and the “tough” fiber woven upper material has several snags in it, is fraying at the ankle area and the toe box/cap is coming unglued on both feet. I thought Danners would be a little higher quality but overall I still like them for my first pair of hiking boots.

  • Attractive boot, almost nails it
By Adam Wulfmeyer on 03 January 2019

TDLR: Ordered a half-size down, EE. Thinking I should I have bought a half size down, regular size; very water resistant, have worn in the rain but wouldn't be stepping in any deep puddles; they clean up well.

The Danner 600 Euroweave is probably the most attractive boot I've purchased; perfect for hard, compact surfaces and thus excellent casual wear. Haven't had much of an opportunity to actually hike in this boot since it's very wet, cold, and muddy in SW Ohio and these boots are simply not built to withstand that kind of punishment. My La Sportiva TX5, however...

ANYWAY. My big caveat about this boot: the left fits perfectly, the right has had some problems. Part of the tongue, if not folded and tucked in a particular way, puts annoying pressure directly on my ankle, and is very uncomfortable.

Since I have learned to properly lace and tie the right boot to avoid this discomfort, the heel/forefoot cannot align for very long to provide a truly enjoyable and discomfort-free experience. Idk what it is - maybe the right boot is defective, but the interior of my foot runs directly over the arch support & edge of the insole, and thus there is some very real discomfort and requires frequent adjustment whenever I wear them - WHICH IS A LOT. Maybe I'll try a pair on in the store and see if they cause me the same trouble, and if so I'm certainly returning to Danner for a replacement pair...

But overall, if you want a nice casual boot that can handle pavement and relatively dry/lightly saturated terrain, buy this boot. It looks great, feels incredibly comfortable, has great grip on pavement and off.

  • Very innovative and comfortable hiking boot...
By Kindle Customer on 09 July 2018

I bought these as I wanted to try something other than the traditional leather hiking boots. I had worn these boots on some basic trail hikes and have had no issues...no break in needed and no problems with hot spots/blisters, so I took them with me to the mountains of North Carolina, near Mt. Mitchell, on very steep trails. Encountered wet conditions, rocks, dirt, and mud. The grip of the soles was great and the flexibility of the upper material was excellent. They will obviously get your feet wet as they are not waterproof but they didn't gain any appreciable weight once they were wet. I wore Danner's sometimes in the military but these are much more comfortable. I will have to wear them some more to test their abrasion resistance of the new fabric. Overall, my favorite lighter weight hiking boots...would recommend. Also Danner recommends a half size smaller...I didn't listen and had to send the first pair back.

  • Great dressy-ish multi-purpose boot...
    By 916hammer on 24 September 2018

I've been looking for a (non-Goretex) boot that was dressy enough to wear to the office or out to dinner and not scream "tactical!" but would still serve me well in an E&E or any other kind of SHTF situation. These boots fit the bill; stylish enough to wear on a date, but they are light, have great tread, good support and typical Danner quality. I bought the brown pair but will probably end up purchasing the black one at some point. I wish they came in grey, but c'est la vie.
