  • If you want a good pair of work shoes

    Absolutely do not do yourself the disservice of buying these shoes. The page claims that they are meant to be worn all day while standing. That is just what I did and after two months they had ripped and torn themselves apart. The soles had become disconnected from the shoe and the leather had begun to rip and peel off of the shoe itself. The inner sole was worn as well. I expect some wear and tear from my shoes, I have a very shifting stance since I suffered a broken leg, but I've had shoes NOT meant for work and standing that I've worn to work and they've lasted for years (still have a pair that I've had since high school and I'm 24 now), and not suffer nearly as much deterioration as these. If you want a good pair of work shoes, buy just about ANYTHING but these. They WILL fall apart and you most likely won't get your money back. I know I didn't. If you're just looking to waste $60 bucks and don't feel like burning it, and like the idea of aggressive back pain and tripping over your soles as they become detached, then Deer Stag Nu Times are the footwear for you. Just look at the pictures, two months looks like five years for these shoes.

    Third pair of Deer Stags. First pair lasted nearly six years with frequent use. The second pair are black wingtips. After 4 months, all still good. Happy with these as well. I wear between a 12 and 13 depending on the style of shoe. Tried the 12 and a little short and tight at the toe. 13 just right. If close, opt for the bigger size.

    I do not wear dress shoes very often since retiring. These are man-made construction that looks very much like leather,
    These were purchased for a wedding and matched others in the wedding party who had bought expensive leather shoes.

    The real delight of these shoes are the insoles - VERY comfortable. I use orthotic inserts provided for diabetic support.
    These shoes/insert are as comfortable as the custom inserts I am provided by the VA.

    These are an outstanding value for the money. I would not hesitate buying the same shoe in another color as needed.

  • Not really fashionable.

    I've purchased Deer Stags in the past the toe had a little more point to it. This time the toe seemed more rounded, which made the shoe seem a little uglier. They are very comfy though, and have a good sole.

  • Not true to size, even if you have owned these before.

    I have been wearing deer stags for years. I use them pretty much as a disposable shoe, they last maybe a year for me then get tossed. This is my first time ordering them from amazon and the shoes do not fit the same. I ordered exact same size I have for years and these are too small. I question if these are fake deer stag shoes (not that real ones are high quality)
