  • Great workwear
By Brian on 27 January 2015

I'm a Patient Care Tech at a hospital. I'm 6'1", 270 pounds, and muscular, but I wear a 42 waist in Old Navy jeans. I bought the XL and they fit great. I've had them for three months, washing a few times a week, and they've held up great. The elastic waist is perfectly functional in keeping these from falling down, even laden with things in the pockets. I usually don't carry very heavy things... just my wallet, scissors, and a bunch of gloves (yes, I have to carry around my own XL gloves). It's nice there is a drawstring in case the pants get too heavy, although I never use the drawstring. The pockets are the great thing about these pants. In case you can't tell from the description or pictures, there are side pockets (like jeans), one back pocket, deep cargo on the right leg, deep wide cargo on the left leg with a snap closure, shallow pockets on either side superior to the cargo pockets, and a bungee loop. If you're like me and the rooms don't have your size gloves, I can fit enough gloves in the right side pocket and left cargo pocket to last me for about 1/2 to 3/4 of the day. I don't use the shallow pockets for much because they're prone to having things fall out. I use the pockets to carry my wallet in the back, bunches of gloves in the right side and left cargo, bandage scissors, pen and marker clipped inside the right cargo, germicidal wipe packets in the right cargo, any extra paperwork in the right cargo (folded), dry-erase marker and any personal papers in the left side. Sometimes I put a few pairs of last-ditch gloves in the left shallow pocket, so I know when I've used those it's definitely time to go restock. The length is just about perfect. They only shrank a little in the wash, so now they're almost short, so as they ride down (immediately after walking) the length is perfect. I'm not treading on them dragging them through God knows what, nor am I getting them caught on the tongues of my shoes. The color is slightly brighter than the wine color of different brands. It's slightly more scarlet. That hasn't been an issue for me, but if your management is super detail oriented, you may want to check. The color difference becomes less noticeable as the garment fades slightly after washing. The only thing I would change is the velcro closure for the back pocket makes it difficult to get my wallet out. I would prefer a snap I could leave open, but that's just me. I don't know if perhaps the velcro has saved me from losing my wallet countless times.

  • My favorite pants, period
By KP on 01 September 2017

I am a psych nurse. Wearing scrubs is not required but merely encouraged. That being said, I wear these every time I have a clean pair. I have never purchased the tops, and probably never will. I don't like scrub tops, no matter how comfortable. But the bottoms? Let's put it this way: I purchased three pair three years ago, and I wish I had purchased 10. They get more comfortable with each wear, and at this point, they are more cozy than my best pair of pajamas and faded old blue jeans. I feel like I am getting away with something when I get to wear these to work. Not one stitch has come out. There are no holes. No fabric tears. I HIGHLY recommend the scrub bottoms for anyone who likes comfort, an array of pockets, and longevity. They look pretty good on me, too, or so my wife tells me.

  • My only complaint about these super comfortable work pants is that they're easier to tear ...
By John hackett on 11 April 2018

My only complaint about these super comfortable work pants is that they're easier to tear than I expected. If you're going to be sitting on sharp objects like I do inside power generation turbines that are being overhauled make sure that you bring an extra pair to work with you. Otherwise they fit great and allow tons of freedom of movement. They have tons of pockets with snaps that you can use for just about anything from wallets, phones or tools. The ties remain tight once tied. They also dry a lot faster than cotton scrubs. Anyone who works in contaminated areas of nuclear power plants and I required to wear scrubs to work these are better than average.

  • Purchased quite a few at this point
By Ron Cole on 28 March 2016

Man, I love these scrub pants! Besides the surgical scrub pants the hospital used to provide, these are the only ones that have actually fit me properly. With enough pockets to contain just about everything, they've proven themselves time and again as being comfortable, stylish, and useful. At this point, I've purchased enough pairs to last me an entire week - most in black, but with a few other colors as well to mix it up. Yes, most people will have to hem these due to the length, but that's generally expected with pants of this type.

  • I like these as an okay substitute for linen cargo pants ...
By AWIT on 26 October 2017

I like these as an okay substitute for linen cargo pants which are getting harder and harder to find at a reasonable price. They're quite comfortable. Believe them when they say the pants are long (32" at least). If you do buy them too big (as I did the first time around), it's harder to cinch the waist enough, but I did. The only thing I'm not 100% happy about is the lower right leg pocket. It's not shallow, but it doesn't have a closure, and when sitting, things can work they're way up the pocket and drop out onto your chair or the floor when you then stand. I don't think I've actually lost anything, but I'm not 100% sure that I might have before I noticed how things shift upward.
