  • Great Purchase Decision
By James Bramlett on 27 August 2017

I have been buying these shoes for quite some time through Amazon. I work in a fast food restaurant and work 40-50 hours a week. These shoes are tremendous in keeping my feet comfortable. Although because I work so hard in them and am constantly moving, each pair that I have bought have always busted out the sides. I would expect these shoes to last a bit past 6-8 months but constantly working in them, they are bound to break down quickly. Overall, I would say there is no better purchase than a quality pair of shoes 2-3 times a year to keep your feet in tip top shape. You won't be disappointed after you work in these just a few days.

  • Hmm? Perhaps these are "as is" because both pair sure did not meet quality control
By BEA - Devorah on 29 March 2018

This, Cambridge II has been my husband's work shoe for 3 pairs now and all have fit as expected when purchased in a local shoe store. We saw that Amazon had them so we bought a pair. The sole of the shoe was not the same as the previous that were all purchased at a local shoe store. So... we sent them back. We bought a size bigger figuring it might be his feet changed?? He put this one size bigger on and they were actually smaller than the ones we first ordered at Amazon that we had just sent back. The size 10.5 wide was bigger than the size 11W? The soles are different and the cushion inside the shoe was not cushy like the local shoe store shoes. In my opinion, I feel there are a knock off shoe or perhaps a second or mis-labeled goof shoe. I have heard that shoes that do not meet quality control are sometimes sold to other stores to sell "as is". Not at all what we have come to know as the Cambridge II work shoe.

  • I love Dr. Scholl's shoes but these shoes are awful
By IHeartOnlineShopping on 18 December 2019

I love Dr. Scholl's shoes. My significant other has been wearing the Dr. Scholl's Escape Freestyle Sneakers in size 14 for years and they were always his favorite shoe. We haven't been able to find them for well over a year and he finally ran out of extra pairs (we always buy multiple pairs of shoes when we find a good shoe), and they are discontinued.

We looked at multiple Dr. Scholl's shoes and settled on the Cambridge II Work Shoe because my significant other is on his feet all day at work and walks between 6-10 miles a day at work. He also is standing all day long, so we wanted something comfortable.

The Cambridge II Work Shoe appeared to have all of the features that we were looking for: 100% leather, non marking rubber sole, slip resistant, and odor control. They also happen to have a lining that helps pull moisture away from your feel, are oil resistant, have a vented sock so that your foot doesn't sweat, and use memory foam technology.

I originally purchased size 14 and it was way too small on my significant other. The toe box was really jammed and his heel barely fit in the shoe. We then purchased the size 15 and all though the shoe fit it was not comfortable at all, and was one of the worst shoes that my significant other has tried.

His primary complaint about the shoe was the arch. It's in a weird position so your foot kind of goes sideways while you are wearing the shoe, causing your ankle to turn. This makes your ankles hurt, your feet sore, and doesn't provide you with enough support.

He will occasionally wear Power Step Pro Control insoles with shoes to make them more comfortable, so he put his Power Step insoles in this shoe and then the shoes became too tight. The fit of the shoes is really weird, the shoes are wide, bulky, and look clumsy when you are walking around (like clown shoes).

He was unable to find anything about these shoes that he liked, so we returned both the size 14 and size 15 shoes to Amazon. Amazon has a wonderful shoe return policy and we were happy to get a refund.

I have since written to Dr. Scholl's and asked them if they make a comparable shoe to his old favorite. If they answer me with a shoe type, I will update my review with the suggestion. For now, we are done with Dr. Scholl's shoes, they just don't make them like they used to.

  • Donated after 2 days wear. Not as comfortable at claimed
By Nelo on 12 June 2019

As a deliver driver, I’m on my feet walking, standing most the day. I been wearing Nike Monarchs for years but tired of the toe box coming apart within 6 months so figured I search for a new work shoe. Came across these, read the description about the lab testing, memory foam, anti-compression, vented sock, breathability and was sold. Ordered and they came the next day. Laced them up and I wouldn’t say they’re “cushioning” but they more hug your feet. They fit TTS btw. Wore them the next day to work and right away the balls of my feet were hurting. They’re very flat and not breathable at all. Your feet will be sweating in these. After the second day I decided to donate them. Not for me. I will say they seem very durable though.

  • Decent Shoes For Price. Amazon Prime Shipping Needs Improvement.
By Melvin Al Farris on 06 November 2017

A friend of mine had purchased a pair of these shoes elsewhere and stated they were very comfortable. I suffer from plantar fasciitis. So I have to be careful with my selection of shoes. But decided these were economical enough and am going to give them a try. I received the shoes today,.....so cannot speak of issue with that. (Only one make and model of shoes has been perfect for my issue, and that company quit making that shoe after some lawsuits of people not losing weight.)
The shoes do look comfortable and well made for its price range. I will update this review should I find an issue with quality or should I find comfort information needs to be updated.
My one issue with this order was something becoming all to common over the past few years with Amazon Prime,......the package arrived late again.
