  • Excellent quality and hope they come out with them again ...
By Kindle Customer on 01 June 2017

I've always used a coiled planner but the pages and could seem to fall apart or get ragged with time. This hardbound planner is everything I could have dreamed of! Excellent quality and hope they come out with them again next year!

  • Disappointed for the money
By Julie Sigwarth on 09 June 2017

Purchased this planner and was incedibly excited to receive it. It's beautiful and everything I wanted except the pen color shows through the pages. I had purchased a cheaper different brand last year and never had this problem. For paying a significant amount more I am Extremely disappointed as it's distracting and makes my planner look sloppy!

  • Amazing desk planner- large vertical
By Mamasew on 26 June 2017

I love this planner. I've always been into stationary and planners, so I actually have a few planners in my stash, although I'm trying to minimize! What I love about this planner is the size and quality. The paper is thicker than previous year's Erin Condren's, I'd guess 65# or so? There is minimal shadowing through of ink, the most that shows through are the blocks of color (headers) if the next page is a monthly spread, you can see through lightly, but when the book is laid flat open you don't really see through to the next page, if that makes sense.
The cover has a slight texture to it, it's soft, not a sheen-y cover, it feel luxe and very nice.
The layout allows for you to section up your day or your responsibilities, or whatever works for you. I use it mostly for school, and I'm the bottom lined section I map out when things are due, then one box is appointments/personal, the other two I use to fill in classwork where I can squeeze them in based on due dates and less full appointment days.
In the beginning of the book there is a yearly overview to highlight/mark year at a glance, and a 2 page spread to either write out the months or some other way of categorizing whatever you'd like to organize, but as far as month to month that's the only extra, there are no note pages with each month. However, there are plenty of note pages in the back. Another thing to note is the lack of monthly tabs. These are sold separately although I don't have them, the ribbon banner adequately marks the week you're in and I use a paperclip to clip the month to the current week so it's easy to flip to.
But, that said, I don't think you'll find a planner with this nice of paper quality and design for this price in any other product.
It's quite large, and feels nice and substantial, so I don't see myself ever throwing this in my purse. It could go in a backpack easily, or laptop bag. For my purpose, it's a sit open on the desk planner.
I wish I icould figure out why Amazon has the patterned covers & EC hasn't marketed these colors/patterns at all, and all they have available on their site are plain solid colors.
All in all, I think this planner is a wonderful product, great quality, missing a couple features (tabs and monthly note pages) but in keeping the cost affordable without sacrificing function.

  • I love most Erin Condren products I buy
By Amazon Customer on 29 June 2017

I love most Erin Condren products I buy, but this one was a huge disappointment. The paper is so thin that you are very limited what pens you can write in it with. I tried my flairs, which I've used in all of my other Erin Condren products, and it bled through horribly. My ink joys are iffy. I would not purchase again and definitely will not be giving any of her other hardbound products a chance.

  • Almost perfect.
By Vee on 05 July 2017

I've used planners for most of my adult life but have never found the perfect planner. This hardbound life planner in the portable 5x8 size comes pretty close. It is slim without the bulk of discs or coils, lays flat for stamping and writing, has my preferred horizontal layout and is pretty to boot. 3 things that I would add to make it perfect would be a pocket to hold random items, an elastic to hold the planner closed, and paper that could accommodate felt tip type pens that planner people seem to gravitate to. My sharpie pens and paper mate flairs unfortunately bleed so I had to switch to gel pens.
The rose gold edges on the paper and the beautiful design both inside and outside of the planner does raise this above all other similar type planners that tend to be more vanilla. Although I prefer the horizontal layout, I do find it odd that the vertical layout isn't offered in this size.
