  • Easy assembly and great compost bin
By Corryn Pacheco on 28 April 2017

Easy assembly with all parts fitting together well and good instructions. I was able to build the compost bin by myself with only a phillips head screwdriver in under an hour. The materials are sturdy and the design is well thought out. Make sure that the tabs fit together completely for the connections above and below the panel containing the openings (you need to angle the panel while inserting the tabs). I was able to hold the nut with my fingers and tighten the bolt with a screwdriver to secure all the panels. I loaded the bin with green and brown and there was no problem with weight or rotating the bin.

  • Good value, works well, smaller doors than expected.
By randoB on 21 July 2017

This works well. Assembly was a little tricky but the directions were very good, except I'd recommend putting the axle in when you install the divider (between compartments) as the axle helps hold the divider in place during the rest of assembly, and it is easier to insert the axle before the bin is completely enclosed.

The construction seems solid and durable and it looks good. It was a little smaller than I expected, but it is actually a good size--any larger and it would be very difficult to spin when nearly full due to the weight/momentum. The biggest drawback is the tiny openings where the green panels slide open to add raw compostable stuff--I have a small kitchen compost container but can't dump it in the tumbler without spilling some. It was even harder when I tried to add leaves from the yard. To be fair, it is a trade-off--bigger doors would make it less sturdy and more leaky.

Al in all, I'm happy and it is a good value.

  • Good except center divider is flawed
By Frenchy on 12 February 2018

It seems sturdy, turns easily (still empty though)and assembly was pretty straightforward. However, as a few others have noted the shape/size of the center divider is off. It just doesn’t sit right and is too small in spots. I took a photo so you can see what I mean. You can shift it around (and pop it out with your hand,) but the cracks between the two bins just change position, never aligning. It can definitely still be used just fine with some crumbs probably going into the other side. Super frustrating. I also had three screws that had metal in the “+” where you’d insert the screwdriver so you can’t turn them, luckily there were just enough extras, but also frustrating.

  • This composter is well built and a good value if you plan to use it as a ...
By Bryant Fulton on 14 July 2017

This composter is well built and a good value if you plan to use it as a single barrel bin. However, the divider does not actually work. I assembled this item last night, after hours of messing with it i have come to the conclusion that the divider was poorly designed and is too small to fit into the groove provided on the interior of this bin. There is a track for the compartment separator panel and the divider provided is 1/8" too small to reach the track on the opposing side when set flush against the track on onside. Basically, the divider falls out of the track and moves from side to side in the bin. It does not meet its purpose as a dual compartment compost bin.

  • Fairly easy assembly and holds the weight of at least 50 ...
By Dennis Paquin on 07 November 2017

I have had this in use for more than 6 months with out issue..

Pros: it keeps the compost off the ground and away from vermints, weeds and ants.
Fairly easy assembly and holds the weight of at least 50 pounds of compost.
The separate sides allow you to use one side while the other is in progress.
    It is not expensive.

Cons: It gets a little tough to turn if you add too much.
The removable doors are small making removing compost a little slow and tricky.

Conclusion: It serves it's purpose well and for my gardens it produces even more than I need.
I recommend it for those with smaller gardens and smaller waste
    I would buy again
