  • Vice-Like Snug Before A Long Break-In Period
By WHF on 04 March 2018

Let's see; I have been wearing Chippewa Super Loggers boots for years. Love them. I buy my size and BAM they fit. Every time. Comfortable too. I decided to try these Georgia Logger boots instead. For a change. Let me say this; they are far from the most comfortable boots, logger or otherwise, I have ever owned. Very tight to pull on and off. No give to them. Once on, they fit, shoe size-wise, but they (for myself anyway) seem to require a LONG break-in period. The first 3 days at work wearing these, I was in discomfort. My ankles/lower leg areas felt like I had a vice on each lower leg. Or, like I was wearing cement shoes, from about 8" down. I almost gave up. I learned that you cannot lace them up tight. It will hurt you throughout the day if you do. So, I started lacing them somewhat loosely. Not as painful like that BUT, now my socks were in a ball, under my feet, within the first 10 steps I took. I'm trying to find a happy medium here. It seems they have started to 'settle down' a little after wearing them all day for about 6 work days. But at this point, I don't feel like I could recommend them, as uncomfortable as they are. I'm giving them 3 STARS b/c they seem to be letting up a little. But if you want GREAT logger boots that fit, are comfortable and last, well, Chippewa Super Loggers.

  • the boots
By Bill on 04 December 2018

So far they are good looking boots, and well made. The test will come when they are put to the test of going to work and taking on the snow and whatever we have to give them. I had this brand before with great results so hoping for the same results.

  • Wearing these boot my feet pretty much stay dry
By Stephen Polansky on 17 April 2018

This is the second pair of these boots that I purchased. I have tried other boots they didn't work for me. With other boots my feet sweat so after a day of working all day my socks were wet with sweat. Wearing these boot my feet pretty much stay dry. The fit was great. As with all new boots your feet have to adjust. I put these on right away when I got them and wore them all day with little discomfort. Great boots. My last pair lasted over 5 years

Ordered for my brother to work in. He could not find these in stores. It is his second pair. He says they are comfortable and super durable.

They did look and feel super durable. I have to take his word on the comfort part.

Expensive, but he said they are worth every penny.

  • Comfortable work boots
By Bonnie and Keith on 09 December 2018

My husband gets these boots for work about every 1.5 to 2 years apart. He likes these out of all the boots he has tried. They are comfortable and last a long time. He plans on continuing to get this brand of boot in the future. Just disappointed that the army and navy store does not stock this particular kind of Georgia boot. Hope this kind of boot continues to be made by the company.
