  • Lightweight, sturdy boxes great for organizing and storing glassware
By Frederick on 08 March 2017

Please note that in this review I am writing specifically about the GLASSWARE storage boxes ("Red Wine Glass," "White Wine Glass," and "Coffee Cup" boxes). I have not purchased any of the boxes designed for storing dishes.

I'm a huge collector of vintage cocktail glasses, and I use the boxes to store them. I literally have 15 of these boxes on shelves in my basement filled with glasses of all types: rocks/old-fashioned glasses, tall/Collins glasses, coupe glasses, even Tiki glasses! You can use these to store glasses of all different shapes and sizes.

Here are the pros and cons of these boxes (again, when used for GLASSWARE).

    Pros:
    - Very lightweight
    - Stackable (see photo)
    - Sturdy enough for storage
    - Clear plastic window on one side allows you to see what's inside the box
    - Nice carrying handles

    Cons:
    - Not exactly "heavy duty"
    - No cushioning inside the compartments (see my photos which show the box interior with some glasses in them)
    - The window only allows you to see the glasses on one side of the box; you have to lift the lid to see the others (this is only an issue if, like me, you store several different types of glasses in one box)

    A few notes of caution:
    1) These boxes work great for STORAGE of glassware, but keep in mind that they are not padded on the inside. If you need something to organize your glassware you aren't using so you can store it on shelves, this is your answer. I would NOT, however use these for moving glassware, and certainly not for shipping it!
    2) If you use these to store thin (as in, narrow-diameter) glasses such as Champagne flutes, the glasses will have some "play" within the compartments. You may want to wrap something around them so they don't move around too much and bang against the sides of their compartments, which could cause them to break.

Here's a tip: If you store fragile glassware in these, buy some foam glassware storage sleeves from U-Haul or another shipping/moving company. The first put each glass inside a foam sleeve before putting it inside one of these boxes. The foam sleeves will cushion the glasses and prevent them from moving around so much. (See my last photo, which shows some glasses wrapped in the foam sleeves.)

    Hope these tips are helpful!

  • Great for drawer storage
By Terence Kiang on 20 October 2017

Perfect size and shape for my various sized red wine glasses. I don't like my glasses getting dusty either hanging or in a display cabinet so I keep them in a drawer- this case keeps them protected when I open and close the drawer and keeps the dust off.

  • Sturdy teacup organizer
    By J & J on 09 February 2017

The outside of this teacups/mug organizer is beautiful and sturdy. It's a pity that the central paper dividers are a little flimsy. It would be perfect if the dividers can be made of thicker cardboard covered with fabric like its exterior surface. I bought it to put the nice teacups I recently purchased. The 12 slots fit my teacups nicely.

  • For basic barware wine glasses not fine crystal...
By Drlulu on 01 January 2015

If you are looking to store basic daily wine glasses and or Spode Water Goblets this is a good cost efficient storage option. It is made of canvas. However it is a 'pop-up' design with a flimsy cardboard covered with vinyl base. The lid sits on the box...there is no closure such as a zipper to keep dust etc out. This is not meant to store fine china...look at the dimensions....this is meant for everyday wine glasses which typically are much shorter in stature. It holds my Spode Water Goblets perfectly. No it will not hold Pier 1 wine goblets or Waterford Crystal...if you have Waterford Crystal don't be cheap on your storage container...the InthisSpace hardshell storage containers have a superior design and construction (with a zipper closure) to store fine china and crystal glassware.

  • Great quality for storage
    By Techiemomof5 on 10 April 2016

I have bought several different types of glasses storage containers due to the fact that I not only have my own dishes for certain holidays that I store but I also store glasses for a local troop. Since I have bought different ones I can say that in my experience these are the best I have bought. These are not the usual soft fabric material that most glassware storage boxes are made of. The outside box is a stiff material that allows you to stack the containers on top of each other without worrying that the top one will crush the bottom one. This also gives more security when putting it into storage. I don’t worry about it losing its balance on top of the other container and falling off. The box was also the perfect size for my Christmas wine goblets. The cardboard inside of the box is made of a nice and sturdy cardboard and keeps the glasses from moving around. This is also different from most other containers. I was not afraid the cardboard would tear while I was assembling it. I ended up buying another two of these because the quality was the best I had found. If the cost hadn’t risen after buying the first two I would have bought more for local troop.
