  • Not exactly the original but by no means a knock off
By Jim Mathews on 18 November 2018

The first image is the original 1966 to 1970's version. The second image you can see logos were added during the mid 1970’s to the 1990's (pair is quite worn but shows change) and are what I wore starting in 1980, as a freshmen in high school. I relied on my older sister to dress me because I was changing schools to her town and was coming from Tahoe, so I was not quite going to fit in in the valley as a Freshman in Highschool. These were cool, popular, and because they resembled a ski boot (apparently how they were designed, fun fact) I loved them. The third picture is what I have worn ever since. I have literally only worn these as everyday shoes since. So quite a few pairs and maybe a minimum 10 pairs from Amazon. Amazon only has a few sizes left of the 'original' design in white and the later version black that pop up every now and again. The "Men's Classic VN" I'm reviewing is really only different in the height of the back of the shoe, the softness of the leather (no horrible blister week long break-in period) but they indeed don't last as long with the exception of the sole. Some have described the color fading or rubbing off sooner and I would agree, but hey, they are all I can find and I'm satisfied with the look and feel. They are close enough and if I have to buy a pair sooner than later due to wear? Well I'm 51 and no longer a struggling student, lol. Believe me I have looked and until a better version comes out, these are great. Definitely would recommend to a friend.

  • The Classic standard, but not the quality they used to be.
By Hobie Cat on 12 January 2018

Not quite the K-Swiss quality I remember from the 80's -90's, but still classic, sharp shoes. Unfortunately, the toe material has a very thin coat of white dye/paint, and the first time you scuff the end of your shoes against something, the white color is gone and grey material shows through. Very disappointed by that. I think I wore them briefly 3 times before the toes showed wear. Fit and comfort are perfect, however.
I would NOT recommend these for daily wear, only for light-duty use for special occasions.

  • Best "classic" shoe KSwiss ever made.
By Mark S. Bond on 12 January 2017

The KSwiss classics are the best they ever made. The leather is softer and more comfortable than their newer models and hold up better because they don't have all the funky extras that just aren't needed, like memory foam insoles that just slid and bunch up between your toes. Just can't find these classics in stores anymore because the stores want the newest greatest models which aren't always better. If you want a "classic" that doesn't go out of style, you found them here. Best show KSwiss ever made.

  • SHARP NURSING CLASSICS!
By JOHN on 23 August 2018

Have been wearing these for YEARS. I could never afford them when a child but as a nurse, they're my GO-TO work shoe. They look smart and wearing only to/from work, stay sharp for a few years. When they get a bit beat-up, they then become house-only shoes. My one complaint is that the sole are NOT the longest wearing out there. I usually end up patching mine with SHOE GOO a few times before I donate them to Good Will!
