  • Get bigger than you think
By North Pacific Mariner on 29 October 2018

Made well but certainly small. That’s my 11 trail running shoe, which I wear with thick socks. That’s a 10 O’Neil, 2mm Superfreak next to it...solid 1 1/4” shorter.

  • Own a pair for 2yrs, still going strong and protected me from a sting ray
By dana on 06 January 2018

    What I like:
    1) Durability: Had mine for 2 years now, still going strong and still fits well. I surf 2-3x week and use them all year even during summer here in San
Diego. Why during summer? sting rays, see additional comment below.

    2) Size: Im a size 9-9.5 in regular shoes. I bought a size 9 and it fits well.

    3) Sting ray: Stepped on one a week ago. These booties saved me from a lot of pain and suffering. The spine jabbed right at the top part of the booty. It did penetrate but the depth of the puncture wound in my ankle was not very deep (~0.5cm deep, 0.5cm length). I was able to tolerate the pain and stay out in the surf for another 2 hours. Took a couple days off, and was back out in the water like nothing ever happened.

What I don't like: They due accumulate some water from time to time, but nothing significant enough to affect their performance. By raising feet above the surface for half a second usually does the trick.

  • Great Water Shoe but careful on size!!
By Amazon Customer on 03 September 2016

Amazing water shoes but uncomfortable at times.
    - don't get a size smaller just stay with your true size or go 1/2 size smaller for a more snug feel.
    - I went with a full size smaller after reading reviews and damn! After an hour or so my toes feels numb because it's too tight.
    - the design of the shoe is similar to that of a sock which wraps around the ankle tightly but comfortably. The strap and draw cord provide a secure hold while surfing or in the water with a strong current.
-The rubber sole provide protection but it's thin so you can feel rocks underneath but tolerable especially for Oceanside beach with its rocky floors.
-works great for surfing and walking on hot sand/pavement
-feels very comfortable against your naked feet when putting on and doesn't feel uncomfortable when getting wet with them as some water shoes do.
-the slip toe is okay but because I went a full size smaller it hurts my big toe.
-water shoes stretch a little bit but after 2 trips to the beach it does not stretch that much and have to take off to let my feet stretch out but if I would went my true size I know I could wear these bad boys all day.

    1) great split toe booties/comfy.
    2) keeps your feet from being torn up by rocks or other 'jabbables' on the ocean floor!
    3) a good value, yet keep an EYE on pricing--it can fluctuate on here inside of a few days by $15 (no joke).
    4) if you're a women's size whatever, get a men's size ONE SIZE DOWN…I'm a 9 & have always worn a 7 Men's in a canvas slip-on…SKIP THAT---buy the ONE SIZE DOWN (I made the mistake & had to swap out).

  • Great for Sand not for rocks
By Todd on 16 August 2018

I live in the Pacific North West and our beaches, rivers, and lakes are often very rocky. While for small rocks this is fine as they do a great jump of keeping everything out, if you standing in shallow water with river rocks it can be a little painful as the soul of these shoes is just a little too thin. I'm sure a thinner person might not have any problems but as I'm a bigger guy I had to switch out to different shoes wading in the shallows during a recent vacation. That said, I'm still keeping them as they are perfect for sandy beaches.
