  • I would buy again.
By troutfeather on 29 November 2018

I am a diabetic, and I have circulation problems which cause my feet to swell. I also have other issues which cause very painful feet and toes. I have bought inexpensive and expensive shoes and this is the first shoe that fits and doesn't hurt. There is room for my toes without pressure and I can walk without pain. I cannot speak to durability yet, but everything seems well put together. I will keep these and probably try another pair in a different style from this manufacturer. The only con is that they are heavier than I expected but I can live with that since I can walk in these. They will be used for day-to-day wear, no serious hiking, and worn in snow, ice and rain this winter. They feel warm now in mild (34-F) weather.

  • A great buy
By greg on 01 December 2018

I can’t complain- I got these for 18 bucks or so. I wear a 14w and the fit is fine. There’s room for an insert, which is good because the arch support isn’t the greatest, but great ankle support. Hesitate to give it a very good review because I can see glue around the outside between the soles and boot. Could be waterproofing and not part of the construction at all. They feel great and have good traction, we’ll have to see about durability, but at that price I really got a great buy, so can’t complain.

  • Great Value for a Very Good Shoe
    By J. R. Osborn on 10 December 2018

When I read the very positive reviews about this shoe, I had to get it. I have diabetes and arthritis in my foot joints and I am always hunting for a comfortable hiking boot. I have been wearing this boot since it arrived. It did require a little breaking in, but the stiffness was not significant. The toe box was larger than I expected. This size, even with thick socks on, would let my foot move around too much for lengthy hiking. That said, the shoe is indeed comfortable and for this price, it's a true bargain! My only nit-picky point is that I wish the loop on the back of the heel was large enough to put your finger through to help pull the boot on. Still, I highly recommend it.

  • A hiking boot with front protection and a good grip
By eFMer on 14 January 2019

I like the grip and the toe protection, the leather is generally thick enough for most cacti.
A shoe that I put on brand new and start hiking for hours in rough terrain.
Generally I switch shoes daily with another brand, to avoid pressure points, most shoes have them on different parts of my feet.
It's a bit heavier than other light weight boots, but I never felt it while hiking, just when you pick it up.

  • Look and fit great. Eyelets need to be made of spring steel
By Daniel F Vandenberg on 08 December 2019

I bought the extra extra large, 5e based on comments but I had to send them back cuz they were a little bit too big. I could feel my heel slipping around. The extra large fits perfectly. I did notice that the hook eyelets, the top three eyelets are a little bit chintzy. They have a tendency to try to bend open even with the stock laces. I've run military paracord a lot of my boots and I think that that would destroy these eyelets. They have a nice look to them, and great traction, and they don't look like handicap footwear despite being Medicare and diabetic approved.
