  • Buyer Beware
By SV Reader on 03 April 2017

This is a great shoe--comfortable, cute, and ultra-light--perfect for travel. Quality control, however, is apparently lacking, as you can read in other reviews--very inconsistent. I wore these shoes all over Turkey last summer and loved them. With the addition of a Dr. Scholl's insert, they had plenty of support and were almost weightless. I took them everywhere--along with a bottle of Crazy Glue, because the sole kept separating from the shoe and had to be re-glued. Now, I have just ordered and received my second pair. When I went to put them on, one of the loops holding the laces popped off in my hand! I hadn't even put them on yet!! I sewed it on by hand and kept the shoes, but this will probably be my last pair. They are not inexpensive, and the quality for the cost just isn't there.

  • Didn't even last six weeks....
By Mary MacLeod on 08 October 2015

These sneakers did not even last two months. I had such high hopes, because they fit well and are very comfortable. After being on my feet for eight hours straight, my feet did not feel as if they'd been through the wringer. But just six weeks into owning them, the color sections of the bottoms are peeling away, making these unwearable - they "catch" on things, and pick up stones in between the peeling sections and the soles, making for a VERY uncomfortable experience.

Frankly, I've had much cheaper sneakers perform far better than these rather pricey ones. I wanted to love 'em, I really did - the fit and initial feel was awesome. They were not subject to anything other than daily wear; no water-wearing, no chemicals, nothing that should have caused this. Defective, and expensive, lesson. I'm sticking with New Balance from now on.

  • Manufacturer does not stand behind their product
    By CW 1 on 03 May 2016

I have bought a pair of these same sneakers in the past & with an insole purchased at CVS, the support was plenty fine to keep me super comfortable on my feet all day. Enough so that I was eager to purchase another pair. Unfortunately, the pair I purchased last week had one of the lace holders break open in 4 days (which essentially renders the shoe very "floppy"). I contacted Avalanche Brands immediately to advise them of this quality deficiency (accompanied by photo) prior to posting this poor review. To my disappointment, I essentially received a "too bad, too sad. work it out with Amazon" response. I guess they never heard that when someone receives good service, they tell 10 people--when they receive poor service, they tell everyone. This is a good shoe if you have the luck to receive a well made pair...I am 1 for 2. Not great odds.

  • DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES
By Samara on 18 March 2017

No stars. First- I requested to return this item the SAME DAY IT ARRIVED and the seller approved the return - then received the item and sent it back today without informing me, saying the return was not approved. Shoes are way too small. Not true size. Waste of money not even close to being worth $50. Thin sole, hard and uncomfortable. Horrible seller experience.

  • Buyer Beware!
By Macky on 11 July 2017

These shoes are great for wearing around the house or for local errands. They are lightweight but not supportive as described and not well cushioned. The adjustable elastic laces are very convenient and allow for loosening or tightening to accommodate socks, or not. However, my bigger issue with this purchase was with the seller. Their return policy, which is to deduct a whopping 20% restocking fee is not apparent until you make a return. I checked before placing my order and the only information provided was that they follow Amazon policies. I don't know about you but paying $10 for the privilege of ordering a pair of $50 shoes is outrageous. My advice is not to order from this Marketplace seller unless you know in advance that the shoes you order will fit. Otherwise there are many other sellers who offer free shipping and free returns.
