  • The second-best tactical pant on the market. And $15 cheaper then the best one. So try this one out!
By CON on 27 October 2017

This pant is better than it looks like. For your informations, I hate pants where you wear the knife in the trouser pockets or in special front pockets on your thigh. In my opinion there is nothing better than separate pockets for your knife or light on the side of the pant.

The RevTac pant has this accessory pockets and so much more.
It has nice wallet/phone pockets at the cargo pockets, big enough for your iPhone 8.
It has cargo pockets with dividers and a pen pocket outside of the pockets.
It has a gusseted crotch and a slim design.
It has a durable water repellent finish.

I like the pant very much. The phone pockets are better than the drop'n pocket from Tru-Spec and the accessory pockets are three or four millimeters offset to the rear. This is not bad! This is good, because the sitting in the car is easier. The cargo pockets have velcro closure. Inset cargo pockets would be better, but you can't have everything, can you? But there is something with the closure: You don't need to open it complete to get things out of one divider. I made a photo with an iPhone, that you can see it.

I want to say that the RevTac Pant is one of the best tactical pants on the market. And for $45 you can't go wrong. Compared to the Vertx Phantom LT 2.0 and the Tru-Spec Vector, the RevTac gets the second place.

    UPDATE I
I have added two pictures. The wallet is a FRITZVOLD Minimal Wallet with 85 x 100 x 5 mm and the "white thing" is an iPhone SE with Spigen Case.

    UPDATE II
I have added a third picture. The brand name on the back is only a patch. On the photo you can see that I removed the Propper-Patch with a simple carpet cutter.

  • If you want a better tactical pant with functionality and a great look
By gsa hunter on 11 November 2017

Finally someone seems to have gotten it right! I've been in public safety for 19 plus years and I've tried every tactical pant on the market. The problem with most is the sloppy baggy look. Proper has figured it out with these for sure. They are well made with just enough material, no extra bagginess, and very durable. If you want a better tactical pant with functionality and a great look, these are you pants.

  • Really nice pants but...
By Tundra on 25 March 2018

The pants fit great except the thigh and butt area could use a little more room or those areas could be made with a stretch type material but then again I try not to miss leg day. The cut of the pants is definitely closer fitting than the regular Propper pants. I’m about 5’09 195 lbs and I ordered a 34x30, which was great except for the before mentioned issue. The waist of the pants fits well. It does not have your normal elastic waist but instead it expands slightly on the side like higher quality uniform pants. I like the pockets and their positioning. The large pockets on the legs are nice and the they have smaller compartments inside. These pants use the normal Propper Teflon coated fabric that repels liquid. I did notice the material seemed a little heavier than previous Propper pants I’ve had. I ordered a second pair after getting and wearing the first pair.

  • A Slimmer & More Covert Alternative to the 5.11 Taclite Pro
By ReneMichaels on 25 October 2017

For those of you who are looking for a "slimmer" and more covert alternative to 5.11 Taclite Pro pant, this is it. The Taclite Pro tends to be more on the baggy side in the waist, legs and crotch area. These Proper Revtac's are a "classic fit" and indeed slimmer in those areas, but you still get the pocket space needed for your gear. If you carry a lot of gear, you'll probably still like the Taclite Pro better, but for small to moderate amount, these work fine. Overall sizing does feel smaller due to the classic fit, but the elastic waist band helps adjust.

They have a rubber-like lining on the inside of the waist band (gripper strip) that helps the pants stay up (great for conceal carry). The little pocket on the outside of the side pocket will fit newer (larger) mobile phones like iPhone 6,7,8 or Moto Z Force. There are also two dedicated and well-placed "knife" pockets on the hips. No annoying "flaps" on the back pockets so as not to get in the way of untucked shirts.

The ripstop fabric and stitching appears to be quality and durable. Because the Revtac is slimmer and not baggy like the Taclite Pro, it looks more like a regular pant ...a more covert and less tactical look.

  • Propper Pants and Proper Fit
    By Michael F. on 21 June 2018

I'm comparing them to 511. First off this is my first pair of Propper pants so I can only compare a one time purchase. In the past I've bought 511 and half the time the pants became unwearable. First for continued usage, which is not a negative, I just wore them out. But then I started to have another problem which is shrinkage, specifically in the length. So this time I've bought the Propper Revtac pants. I lost weight and had to do down from a 34/35 to a 32 waist. So I bought these pair and so far they've outperformed the 511. I'll report if the length changes but so far so good.
