Since 2006, many passports and ID issued by countries like US, Canada, Germany, UK etc., are embedded with radio frequency identification (RFID) chip. Many credit cards have this RFID chip embedded as well. The chips allow authorities or vendors to scan your ID or cards from a distance and collect you personal data. However, an unauthorized scanner can also steal your personal data without your awareness in the same way. This RFID Blocking Passport Wallet is a shield of your credit cards and passport from being scanned and is the best solution for your protection!

It's fine - doesn't stay as closed as I would have liked - it doesn't have such fasteners, and it's very soft. Therefore it feels nice, but didn't seem particularly secure, so manage your expectations.

  • Good Cover
By Sog Deuce on 13 March 2014

I need a cover for my new passport that was RFID compliant and this one serves that purpose for me. The quality is good and the cover seems to be strong for now. I have recommended this to one of my coworkers whose looking a good passport cover.

  • Stiil a bit worried….
By Richard Waldbart on 02 November 2014

I rating this 'just okay' until I get more info. How can someone test this device? There may be another simple accurate method but
but I tried to 'shield' the card I have to gain entrance to my condo. Now, I'm no engineer and I'm happy to be straightened out here but that buzzer was triggered and I entered easily.
On the other hand, I had a small metal 'wallet' style ordered elsewhere that blocked the transmission completely. (of course, it's too small to put your passport in but would hold many credit cards).
If the two electronic events are similar….the thief scanning the passport info and my getting into the building, then this is a nice wallet but no protection.
Again, if someone who knows what's up here can comment, I'd change this review immediately after my return from China.
