  • Best boot I've ever worn

    I wore the 5.11 atac for 10 plus years, I needed a boot that did better in cold and had some water resistance to it. I was EXTREMELY hesitant to go with these. Probably the second greatest decision in my life apart from switching from glocks to the p226. I hunt in these boots, wear them on duty, they are breathable enough when the weather does warm up over 70+ degrees to not overheat.

    Laces and eyelets are designed for quick on. There's enough laces to wrap behind ankle and tie. The tread is holding up well thus far between work and hunting, hiking and outdoor distance events. Foot stays secure, they look sharp. I didn't want to drop the 200+ but they are worth every dang penny!

  • Very comfortable and worth buying

    Have just been using these boots for casual winter time wear...they are very comfortable for all day wear, provide warmth for cold days, and look good with casual clothes, as well.
    Have not stressed them on hiking trails as yet, but they are worth it if not just for winter, casual comfortability. Would not think twice about buying another pair.
    (The insoles are very thick and I had to remove them for a thinner pair in order to get a less tight fit. My foot is a tad thick, too.)

  • BEST BOOTS EVER

    I DO recommend this product to everyone that asks or doesnt ask. im up at Fort Drum home of the 10th mountain division and if theres one thing we love up here its training in the snow. I bought these boots in afgahnistan for the upcoming winter and rainy season in 2011. its now winter 2012 and im back in the us and use these boots on a daily basis and they are still some of the best boots ive worn. warm weather ...forget about it. these boots are for serious wet and cold weather conditions. but thats why they make my other fav boot. summer s2v's. THE PRICE IS ABSOLUTLEY WORTH THE BOOT.

    I used to stand in puddles for 10 15 20 minutes trying to get the inside of the boot even a little wet and never has a drop of water gotten in. ICY water... my best friend. feet always warm and dry even through the wettest coldest conditions in the army. I will buy this boot 1000 times over. rocky has earned a lifelong customer from this boot. expensive but worth every single cent!!!

  • Recommend These Boots.

    These are well made boots, however the width is very narrow compared to other top of line boots I wear. The boots weight are very lite with no brake in period put them on at day one, water has not penetrated my boots, after a week of wearing still no water penetration but I waxed my boots so I can walk through water. Over all these boots are very well made, with a great design on the eyelets, just one pull of the shoe laces tightens up the boot from the boots toe to the boots top. I do highly recommend these boots.

  • Great cold weather boots

    I used these boots on a weekend FTX only a week after getting them (bold, I know). My feet were kept completely dry, and had no blisters even after doing several ruck marches up and down the VT mountains. About 3 months after this, the outsole seems to be beginning to separate from the boot itself (daily hard use). Im not sure if they will last the whole winter. However, this aside, they are warm, comfortable, quick to break in, and definitely waterproof. I would recommend these boots for sure assuming they last the winter
