  • I've Walked 1750 Pain Free Miles In 9 Months Using These Great Shoes
    By M. McDougall on 27 September 2018

According to my Fitbit I have walked 1750 miles so far this year, and I've done it wearing Skechers Shoes. For the first few months I wore Go Walk 4s, and I thought they were the greatest shoes ever except the heel was a little thin for me, but then I tried these Equalizer 3.0s and they are perfect.

The Equalizer 3.0 is extremely light, like wearing slippers. As a matter of fact, if you are used to wearing leather sneakers these will feel "too light", and you may question their durability. I get about 300-400 miles per pair. But most importantly I HAVE HAD ZERO FOOT PAIN AND NO CALLOUSES WHILE POUNDING OUT THE MILES ON THESE SHOES. I have always developed callouses in the past while walking a lot. Sometimes to the point of bleeding, always to the point where I'd be in pain until I warmed up. All of that is in the past with these Skechers.

I take an extra wide, 4x shoe, and the width on these is great. I just wish all of their shoes were available in extra wide, as my only complaint would be that the color and style selection is limited in extra wide. But it's a small matter in comparison to how much better my feet are thanks to Skecher.

  • At age 60, my most comfortable shoes ever.
    By Graywolf0310 on 09 January 2019

I'm a big guy at 6'2" and 225 lbs. and these shoes may be the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned or wore. I don't plan on jogging in these but plan on wearing these as my everyday walking shoes because they are so comfortable. I may purchase another pair. This is my first pair of Skechers that I have owned. I highly recommend them.

  • Would not recommend as a daily walking shoe
By PIsenhour on 24 April 2019

I bought these shoes based on the reviews to replace the shoes that I normally use for walking back in February. The good. The shoes fit as expected and are very comfortable. The material allows the foot to breath nicely. The bad and this is the reason for one star. The sole of the shoe is not durable at all. I have worn them only a few months any they are worn out. I was surprised based on the reviews and questions that I saw. If the shoe was only worn inside maybe they would last longer, but on concrete or asphalt they are worthless.

  • Like Walking On Air...
By YooperCoupleInMarquette on 01 April 2019

Having a big foot, it's always been difficult to find shoes that fit the way I would like them to fit. I honestly think it's harder for guys with long, narrow feet to find a shoe that TRULY fits. I won't make ridiculous claims that this is the first shoe I've ever found that actually fits my foot. There have been plenty over my lifetime that fit just fine. But this is definitely one of the most comfortable overall.

As for durability? Only time will tell - I literally just got them about an hour ago. The particular color (all black) and size (14m) I bought only cost $39.99 so, if I get 6 months out of them, I will feel as if I got my money's worth out of them. Of course, I would love it if they would last a year or more, but I don't have high hopes for ANY brand or style of shoes. I've rarely owned a pair of shoes that last me that long.

I do feel it's important to note that there is very little traction with these shoes. I've yet to wear them outside, but we have a painted concrete basement floor and they definitely don't have much grip on that surface. They're a little better on our hardwood floors in the living room and bedrooms, but not much. I don't see them being very good on wet grass, that's for sure.

Overall: I'm giving them 5 stars, mostly based on comfort. Having said that, I am absolutely someone who regularly comes back and gives updates if my opinion changes. Some say they will do that and then they forget. Not me. If I say I will come back and update, I will. If the memory foam wears out sooner than expected, I'll be back with an update and my rating will change. If they start busting at the seems, same thing. Likewise, if they seem to be holding up as well or better than expected, I will also return and brag about the durability of these shoes. Honestly, I'm rooting for this shoe. I truly want to love them. But I also want to give a fair and unbiased opinion that will help others to make an informed decision on whether or not to spend their hard earned money on these shoes. So far, though, my initial impression of these shoes, is that they're VERY comfortable and I think the quality is great enough that they SHOULD last at least 6 months. Anything over that is just the cherry on top.

PS - I don't think the traction of these shoes would qualify them to be used for running/jogging, but I believe they will be awesome walking shoes. If you're going to an amusement park and plan on walking several miles in the hottest part of the day, I think these will be great for that. Also, I think the design of the outer fabric is such that they will allow PLENTY of air to circulate throughout the inside and help cool your feet. Luckily for me, it's rarely ever hot (even in July and August) where I live. It's a big deal if it gets up to 80 degrees in Marquette, Michigan. There are even times when we don't see 70 degrees for an entire month during the summer. Considering the fact that I was born and raised in Florida, I'm perfectly happy with that! Not that the last sentence or two has anything to do with the shoe itself, but I just wanted to give a little insight on why MOST people would really appreciate the cooling factor of these shoes. I hope my review helps in some way. Stay tuned for updates!

  • Most Comfortable Shoes I've Ever Worn
By My public name on 27 February 2019

Title says it all. I bought these shoes based solely on the rating on Amazon (I sorted mens shoes by highest rated, these were among the top rated at a reasonable cost). I received them yesterday and am very impressed with the comfort. I never realized how uncomfortable my other shoes have been throughout my life until I put these on--it's like instantly losing 50lbs. The only thing I'm reserving ultimate judgement on is durability. I'm sick and tired of buying replacement shoes every 6-10 months, hopefully these will hold up better than the Sperrys they're replacing (and the Pumas the Sperrys replaced). I'll update this review should these start fraying/pulling apart at the seams within a year of daily use.
