  • Good boots with poor quality control!

    I did a fair bit of research before buying boots. Being an auto technician means you spend almost all day on your feet. I needed something with a tough outer that could take daily abuse, still be comfortable to stand in for 8-12 hours a day, and also be sensitive enough that I can drive without having to search for pedals. Industrial boots typically have grippy outsoles, are often waterproof, and of course, have a safety toe.

    The first pair I purchased were incredibly comfortable, but after 10 minutes of wearing them around, I noticed the left foot's safety toe cup was not properly bonded. There was a noticeable ridge right before my toes. After 30 minutes, it drove me nuts, so I returned the pair. Amazon, of course, was incredibly quick with sending another pair.

    The second pair was great, too. No unusual ridge in the footbed, comfortable, great! On the second day of wear, the (what I believe is the welt) on the outside of the right shoe began to separate from the upper. I wasn't about to return a pair after being worn in oily conditions, so I was forced to fill the gap with some seal packing (RTV silicone). The quality control on these boots clearly leave much to be desired. If someone had run their hand through the inside of the first pair, they'd immediately notice the ridge in the footbed. A couple hard flexes of the shoes of my second pair would have probably shown the welt beginning to separate.

    I'm disappointed, these boots are very comfortable, fit well, and are truly waterproof. However, if the welt continues to separate, then they won't be waterproof anymore. It's only been a couple weeks yet, I think they'll wear in well.

  • Good for walking

    I work in industrial sales and spend a lot of time in airports. I like a safety toe hiker that I can get off and on in the TSA line so that I don't have to pack my work shoes. I just wore out my last pair of Wolverine hikers that seem to be out of production. These are a little heavier and the toe box seems a little low. It gets a little better after a few days in use. And they're easy to deal with in the airport.

  • Comfortable boots. Order a size up for 4E width

    I normally wear a 10.5/11 4E shoe and I ordered an 11.5W after having issues finding boots in the width I need. In fact, the length isn't too bad given it's almost a fill size up from my normal size. The safety toe is well integrated and feel pretty normal otherwise.

    These are very comfortable boots. I normally wear hiking boots, so I'm accustomed to good fitting and supporting boots and these do not disappoint. Others have reported the outer is pretty easy to damage, and I can believe it. I don't have much damage her, but when I scratched it against my snow shovel it received a noticeable gash.

    This boot may be great to use out hiking every now and then but for everyday use it becomes less comfortable and starts to fall apart. Cement Factory Worker.

  • Comfortable crap...

    Comfortable boot, waterproof*
    The leather scuff very easily, I’ve had these not even a month and they look worse then boots I’ve had for years. But the comfort is still there I’ll give em that. Also the rubber lining that makes the boot *waterproof started separating from the boot after only a few days wearing them. All in all if you want comfortable boots it’s a good choice as long as you don’t care if they look beat up and if you like wet feet!
