  • Nice quality, but some flaws prevent it from being my go-to backpack.
    By Dwayne Melancon - @ThatDwayne on 01 August 2018

This is a well-constructed, nice looking bag but it has some flaws. First, the size pockets are way too small - not big enough for a water bottle, or sunglasses, or power adapter, or anything so I found them to be of limited use. Second, the laptop section does not have much padding at the bottom. On the plus side, it has some good organizational pockets and the straps are comfortable (a bit shorter than I prefer, but comfortable). I probably wouldn’t buy it again unless the side pockets were larger.

  • Drop the hammer and call the nail far enough in - the PERFECT backpack
By Curt Faulk on 29 September 2016

I've owned only a few backpacks over the years. When I find something I like, I tend to stick with it.

This is definitely the last backpack I'll ever buy. After using this one for a week, I decided to drop the hammer and call the nail far enough in. I've had it for over a year now and I just can't be happier.

It has more storage pockets and pouches inside and out, zippered and not, that even the biggest squirrels among us will have plenty of places to stash their nuts. It holds EVERYTHING. Here is what I carry in it every single day:

    1. Microsoft Surface Pro 4 laptop and power supply; also the Surface 4 Pen.
    2. Google Nexus 7 tablet.
    3. A large spiral-bound notepad and about 10 pens, pencils and highlighters.
    4. Two spare cell phones that are Wi-Fi only.
    5. An umbrella.
    6. Personal items, 2 packages of mints, hand lotion, tissues, a wad of napkins, cough drops, allergy medication, antacid tablets, toothpicks, finger wipes, tea bags, a small mirror.
    7. A portable USB mouse.
    8. A zipper pouch containing 6 spare USB charging cables, a portable USB power supply, a battery charger, 2 LiveScribe smartpens, AA and AAA rechargeable batters (4 of each), 14 USB flash drives of various densities, a USB card reader.
    9. Another zipper pouch containing a Verizon My-Fi Jetpack portable cellular Wi-Fi hotspot, charging cable and 2 spare batteries.
    10. A 3rd zipper pouch containing 2 Western Digital 1TB portable hard drives.
    11. A travel-sized portable power strip with 4 outlets.

All of this in a compact backpack that easily fits completely contained underneath an airline seat.

The only negative comment I can come up with is that for people who walk a lot, it doesn't have straps that go across the chest to keep the shoulder straps secured in the correct position. I bought a set of those here on Amazon for less than $10 and I could walk all over Washington, DC and Arlington very comfortably and as fast as I wanted.

Regarding another commenters point about side pockets too small for water bottles... I have a Swell 25oz stainless steel water bottle and also a Contigo Snapseal 20oz coffee mug that travel with me each and every day. They both fit just fine inside the large zipper compartment that holds the zipper pouch that contains my flash drives. Plenty of room.

If you're looking for a GREAT backpack, I think this might be the answer. Sure, it's expensive, but it is WAY worth it. I liked mine so much that I ordered one to give to my son for his birthday. So, jump on it. You won't regret it.

  • Laptop section has no padding at all
By Pete on 05 August 2019

Will most likely return this product. From a business standpoint it has tons of issues
    1. NO padding in laptop compartment. Had to order padded insert to protect laptop? Does that seem right?
    2. Back of bag where straps are. (the structure is a piece of cardboard wrapped in fabric. VERY CHEAP
    3. straps are sewn to close together so when you put in on your rolling carry on , the straps flare out make your carry on 1' wider
    4. only one storage pocket with zipper so no way to organize without items falling out.

Was hopefull for this bag. I guess I am just used to quality.. Might be good for a high school student. NOT business

  • Well Made, But Expensive
By Barry D Stanner on 11 December 2018

I wanted to use the back pack as carry-on to replace my aging Victorinox shoulder bag. While the well made back pack easily held my computer, all accessories and overnight clothes in the many pockets, one shoulder strap consistently slipped off making wearing it uncomfortable. Although we tried to adjust the straps many times, we could not find a position where the strap would stay on my shoulder. When I later visited a Victorinox store I found what seemed to be the same bag but with wheels, albeit at a higher price. I now believe the wheeled bag would have been better suited for my purpose. I had not seen the wheeled bag on the Victorinox web site, otherwise I would definitely have considered purchasing it.
