Even though most of us grew up with Betty and might even feel that we know her personally, she wasn't a real person! She was "born" in 1921 as an advertising campaign following a contest in the Saturday Evening Post. She became a familiar face when her portrait was first commissioned in 1936, and in 1954 General Mills came up with the famous red spoon logo as Betty's sign of approval. Here's a wonderful collection of her cookbooks - how many of them do you have? 1,000 piece puzzle with a finished size of 24" x 30".

  • 3 stars because of the quality of the puzzle
By Bianca on 25 May 2019

The pictures were great and it would have been a fun puzzle to do, but the pieces were not cut completely through on several places, the box was cheaply made and flimsy, the paper was falling off the outside of the box and I had to glue several pieces of the puzzle as the printed paper was coming off the cardboard. This is not what I expect from a White Mountain puzzle. So, White Mountain, sharpen your cutting mechanism and make your boxes sturdier (like they used to be) or you will be losing a customer here.

  • Pieces RIP when taking apart...
    By C. Sedg on 03 June 2019

I love White mountain puzzles. The only thing I do not like about them is I have to glue the pieces alot, even brand new... For the price the pieces should not RIP when they are taken apart...

  • Great puzzle
By Pubb on 28 February 2019

The puzzle itself is quite good in terms of the artwork and in terms of quality: the pieces are fairly large and the cuts are very clean and precise: very few pieces had burrs or rips/tears.

  • Disappointed
By Jeannette Meyer on 08 May 2019

I have about 40 White Mountain 1000pc puzzles, this one had broken tabs, missing pieces and it was difficult to put some pieces together.
