  • Awesome, old school work shirts
By Jean-Claude Van Darn on 20 November 2017

Awesome, old school, heavy-weight cotton shirts.

To buyers complaining about these shirts being too stiff:

Just like shrink-to-fit jeans, these shirts have a break-in period. They're made of unfinished cotton, which is why they're so "stiff".

This is the way these shirts have always been sold. If they were good enough for blue collar workers back in the 1970s, they're good enough for you (and your tender man skin).

For those seeking instant gratification - don't buy these - you'll hate them (and I don't want Wrangler to change them).

Now here's how I soften these beauties up:

Wash them in cold 5-10 times before wearing and use fabric softener (sheets or liquid or both).

After you get these shirts softened and start wearing them, the heavy cotton will begin to fit to your body shape, getting better and better with time.

These are super high-quality shirts for such a low price, but you have to have a little patience.

  • ... pipeline so I have to keep myself in a good supply of Quality work shirts as I’m around welding ...
By Shadrick harris on 04 June 2018

I work on the pipeline so I have to keep myself in a good supply of Quality work shirts as I’m around welding and grinding constantly and my shirt of choice for a long time has been wrangler it’s always been good quality and been able to stand up to the work...however the quality isn’t there anymore I ordered this shirt and when I got it and took out of the bag the entire right side of the front right pocket wasn’t even sawed on!! The left side was good and bottom good but I couldn’t help but think that someone was in the middle of sewing on the pocket and as soon as 5 o’clock hit they said ok let’s ship it as is! This isn’t the first time I’ve had trouble with these shirts lately Though because I ordered another shirt at the same time as this one and after a couple of wears I was taking it at the end of the day and the seam on the left cuff below the last button ripped about 2 inches out of the cuff so for anyone looking for a quality work shirt I strongly advise you to look elsewhere because as sad as it is wrangler just ain’t got it anymore

  • Give these shirts a chance!
By Jeremy on 14 December 2016

Let me just start off by saying that these are the best shirts I have ever owned. Forget those polyester/cotton blend shirts you can get at the local supply shop: these 100% cotton work shirts are all you need!

Now, I did a lot of research before deciding to switch over to these shirts (as I do with all purchases). While I was reading through the reviews for these shirts, I couldn't help but notice that almost all of the negative reviews were because these shirts are STIFF! And let me tell you, they ARE stiff - but only when you first get them, but that goes away with washing.

They have a funky smell. In fact, the starchy chemical they use on them gave me a headache and irritated my sensitive pits. But that went away with washing.

When you get them, you can hardly try them on. And when you do, they might seem a little big. But they shrink up with washing.

Basically, before you decide to knock this shirt, just commit to washing it a few times and you'll realize that these are some of the most comfortable and well made shirts available.

REGARDING FIT: I am 6'3", and a slim 190 pounds (a little soft but not a beer belly by any means) and I went with the Large Talls for all of my shirts. After washing hot and drying hot a few times, this size fits PERFECTY (shrank about an inch and a half all around with 6 or so wash cycles). I've never had shirts that were long enough in the arms. So if you too are looking for some long sleeve shirts that actually fit, then I definitely recommend sizing up a little, getting the Big & Tall version of this shirt, and shrinking them a little to fit. They might be a little big in the torso still, but if you're wearing these shirts, you're probably a hard working dude who doesn't have time to concern himself with having perfectly tailored shirts.

All in all, don't let the negative reviews deter you. Take a chance on these shirts!

  • Poor workmanship, harsh material.
By John on 21 March 2017

This was one of two Wrangler Cowboy shirts that I purchased, both made in Bangladesh. The dark one had good material. This lighter shirt was of a much harsher material. Even after three washings, the harshness of the material made it unwearable. In addition, one of the snaps on the sleeve came off as the package was opened, an indication of less than optimal craftsmanship. I would definitely avoid purchasing this item, attractive as the price might seem.

  • Not What We Were Looking For
    By A on 23 April 2017

My husband is 6'4, 270 lbs. He usually wears a 2XLT, but after reading about the sizing, I bought him a 3XLT in this shirt. It fits well. The pearl snaps are excellent quality, and the teal color is beautiful, but whose idea was it to treat this thing with so much starch that it literally - LITERALLY NOT KIDDING - stands up by itself? I washed it twice with cider vinegar and liquid fabric softener to get it wearable. It was only after doing so that I noticed there's no hem at the bottom of the shirt. Just a stitched line to prevent fraying.

Why is it so hard to find a decently made work shirt for a bigger man? Not recommended.
